FONTENAS S.L.

I am Miguel Ángel Soler, management assistant at the FONTENAS, S.L. family company, which has more than 60 years of experience in the manufacture of haircare products.

Ten years ago, we launched a business line, manufacturing hygiene and personal care products for dogs, and finding this business line is what got us through the crisis.

Since I entered the company five years ago, and with the generational handover that accompanied that, it's true that in a roundabout way I had observed that things were not going as they should be, but for lack of familiarity with management and planning, it was impossible for me to visualize the path that we should follow.

I received the call from CEDEC, commenting on the possibility of having a meeting with a specialist to address our concerns and see how they could help us, and I accepted. That same week we talked and detected some of the problems that would later arise.

At FONTENAS, S.L., CEDEC has ensured that, above all, there was a change in mentality; for me personally, to see how they worked both as Analysts and Project Managers made me realize the reality of our company and see clearly the path we should follow, not only to ensure the viability of the company, which was one of the first points we had to deal with, but to grow both personally and as a company.

Since CEDEC’s arrival, structural changes have been made in all departments, meetings have been planned to improve company communication, a company organizational chart was formalized, and a steering committee was created; the system is much more democratic.

Parallel to CEDEC's work, we worked internally, creating control panels in each department, following CEDEC’s recommendations in order to be able to measure, measure, measure: the more parameters the better, and thus be able to set objectives, which were later transferred to the general control panel created by the Project Managers.

All these measures and many more have marked a “before” and “after” in both the environment and working systems at FONTENAS, S.L.

I can only thank the Analyst and the Project Managers for their work and their support to the company.
